A BRIEF HISTORY OF NSA NAPLES
Towards the end of the 2 nd World War, Soviet forces had built up in eastern Europe. To stem the spread of communism, Italy became a signatory to the North Atlantic Treaty. The Allied Forces Southern Europe (AFSouth) was set up to provide land, sea and air protection to the NATO countries in Europe from the Soviets.
